Psychotherapy.
therapy done differently
Bird on the Wing is a Gold Coast Holistic Psychology Clinic in Miami specialising in Adult emotional and interpersonal challenges, trauma, sense of self, anxiety. and psychotherapy.
Psychology can sometimes feel clinical and impersonal. Our approach to therapy is from a psychotherapeutic evidence based approach that creates a safe, meaningful, purposeful, honest, and collaborative therapeutic relationship with you. We bring our authentic therapeutic selves to the counselling process to develop a rich, personable, and deep understanding of your world. During this type of therapy, clients learn ways of changing longstanding patterns that have hindered their well-being.
Often these sessions are one on one within our clinic space, other times they are walk-and-talk along Burleigh Beach, and, other times they are a phone call or tele-health video call. Jackson also offers pre-cosmetic surgery psychological assessments.

Many people attend therapy with patterns in their lives that they understand and are aware of, and others that are largely outside of their awareness. Bringing awareness to these relational patterns is crucial in overcoming unhelpful cycles that keep us stuck.
If we are able to work consistently together towards creating a deep, rich understanding of these patterns and how they relate to your presenting problems, then we are on track to gaining the satisfaction that you desire by having breakthroughs and not breakdowns.
Our therapists intentionally focus on a smaller client load so that we can always bring our best to therapy and see clients through to the end of their journey. This also allows a chance to connect when your problem is present and not several months later.

our values are simple,
come exactly how you are.

Jackson believes that growth and healing live in the relational space. In the moments where someone truly witnesses you, where you can speak freely, and even the hidden, messy parts of you can be expressed. The therapy room mirrors real-life relationships, giving clients the opportunity to notice, explore, repair, and experiment with change to carry these new ways of relating into your life.

Jackson works with people navigating confusion, the unknown, intense emotions, recurring relational patterns, or the sense that they are often misunderstood, particularly, when they are at the edge of a major decision, life transition, or turning point.

His approach is deeply relational and psychodynamic, drawing on Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, Relational Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, ISTDP and Inner Child Compassion Focused Therapy.
